Not heard of Antima? No matter, this is a premium third party labelled Monnin cased diver. It has the high quality stainless steel 42 mm case used by many other brands (from the late seventies into the mid eighties). Names like Heuer, Technos, City and Candino are only examples of our own experience with these “Professional” divers that were tested to 20 ATM (200meters). Tool watches were bought to be used, and rarely have we seen a near to mint version like this one. The smashing yellow dial with plenty of Tritium lume is fully intact. The bezel is also like new, and the high quality automatic movement (not quartz as these watches were soon to have) runs very accurately (not serviced by us though). Tudor, Doxa and Certina also used the ETA 2872 inside this Antima. Tudor even had this automatic movement chronometer certified. The case is very good, but there are some scratches on the back cover. Another not perfect point to note: The screw down crown has had to be replaced by an unoriginal part, as the threads of the old one were worn. This very wearable, everyday vintage beater has the following dimensions: Diameter 42 (+), thickness 12,6 and lug end to lug end 46,8 mm. It dates from the late seventies.
