Description

All original and near mint vintage with attractive dial layout and case design. This is a high beat automatic chronograph with day and date. Notably the Japanese came up with all this early in the run to produce the first automatic chronograph. Also very much more affordable than the Zenith El Primero (although the Zenith had a higher beat (36000) as opposed to 28800 beats per hour in the Citizen. This watch sports even day as well as date (the day feature the Zenith did not offer). The PVD coating looks fitting and is largely intact on this very well kept, black dialed vintage. All lume is present and shines brightly under ultraviolet light. The subdial has 5 minute sectors in blue, indicating that it could be used as a yachting start timer. In addition, it has a tachymeter scale (that was a functionality used to measure average speed of cars). This automatic chronograph was produced in February 1974. The case diameter is 38, the thickness is 12,8 and the case length is a hefty 45 mm. The 23 jewel caliber 8100 movement was introduced in 1972. It runs very accurately, the chronograph rests as it should and AntikA guarantees it for 12 months. The flat mineral glas is without scratches.
