Amazing movement

From the beginning of the “Jet age”, this Jet Auto Dater stands out in size and appearance. In addition to the “PARA40MWATER”, the dial sports a stylized aircraft symbol  finishing the “t” in “Jet”. (The term “Parawater” was used until “Water resistant” became the standard in the early seventies). A framed “STAR” marks the back cover. The automatic movement is also something, having an outer circle rotating with the gears connecting the spring drive on the inside. This watch is not mint, with some slight discoloration on the dial and a stainless steel case that has seen a lot of use. The 21 jewel movement has been fully serviced.

Dimensions are: diameter 37.5, lug tip to lug tip 44.3 and thickness is 12.1 mm. Lug width is 19 mm.
