Rare French movement caliber FE1466 (Cupillard)

Great “Professional” diver with an automatic movement that was introduced in 1975. Most of these Monnin cased divers come with quartz movements and are often from 1980 – 1985 typically,. This therefore most likely qualifies as an early Monnin. The French manufacturer became very popular from the late seventies. Some make it out that the Swiss company M.R.P SA made the cases and Monnin assembled them. No matter, the popular term “Monnin cased” has spread and fully represents the 42 mm case we have here with Cupillard inside and signature on the dial. The movement has not been serviced by us, but it runs very well, and we do not see the need to service at present.
