Not easy to find these

With a much smaller production than eg. Omega, nice vintage Eterna-Matics are harder to come by. This stainless steel cased example is in mint condition except from a small lume part missing on the minute hand. The serial numbers (though different on the back cover and on the caliber 1500K movement – as is usual with Eterna) date this watch to ca 1968/-69.

It has the quick date change (pull out the crown) and beats at 21600. The construction of the Eterna-Matic movement is the basis for ETA ebauches, having the compact advantage that gives a very slim automatic watch. The 21 jewel movement is stamped “Brevete” which means “Patented”.

The minimalistic dial layout si very attractive with white gold applied straight shaped hour markers heightened by black onyx. The original crown is present with the 5 ball logo. A fun fact: the movement has a rotor with ball bearing – were you can count seven, not five balls 🙂 . The movement will be fully serviced before delivery and carry our 12 months guarantee.
