Very early “Seamaster”
Rare Omega model
Fully serviced
A rare steel “bumper” with very early automatic caliber 342. This Omega has a screw on back and unusually decorative, elaborate lugs. It is fully serviced. Case ref 2596-1. Diameter is 33,5mm.
It dates from ca 1949.Gold applied logo and hour markers (and hands?).The large subdial sits nicely on the champagne colored dial. The circular mark between 8 and eleven is probably from the hour hand touching it at some time in the past. The crown appears to be the original. There are marks on the back cover. It is fitted with a new quality lizard patterned leather strap and an Omega steel buckle. Despite some patination on the dial, this watch is very attractive and catching because of the dial with the large “12” , the color and the artful case. It appears to have been professionally polished at some time.
AntikA as guarantees the authenticity of this watch. Only original Omega service parts have been used during the last service that was performed by an Omega approved watchmaker. The watch will be repaired free of charge for a period of 12 months after purchase, should it stop or start to deviate from correct timekeeping more than a minute a day. Wrong use or visible damage excepted.
