The Seamaster on offer here has a gold plated case of 40 micron thickness. Being a plated case one must expect some “bleeding”. Here we only see wear on the front of the shapely, quite long lugs, The rest of the case is very nice, that includes the crown. The dial is not totally perfect, but you have to look very hard to find some very small spots. The applied gold hour markers are nice, with arabic numbers on 6, 9 and 12. The Omega logo and the date frame also being in gold. All the luminous material is intact on dial and hands, and the original crystal has the Omega-logo. The steel back cover is in great shape and has the traditional seahorse logo emblem. A fully overhauled caliber 562 automatic movement spins inside. The serial number 2228115 dating the watch to ca 1965/1966. Dimensions are: diameter 34,4, thickness 10,7 and lug tip to lug tip is 40,7. The watch will be repaired free of charge for a period of 12 months after purchase, should it stop or start to deviate from correct timekeeping more than a minute a day.
