Description

The absence of luminous material (“lume”) is quite rare in vintage watches. When we find one, like this automatic stainless steel Seamaster, we feel lucky. If you study the dial and hands, they are spotless! Lume tends to degrade over time, and often the dial is “cleaned”, sometimes the lume even is renewed. Operations like that tends to damage the dial. Therefore a “no lume” dial tends to have a better chance of having been left alone, and therefore we often find them in better condition. If we compare the watch market with the property market where location, location and location are the three most important factors, for vintage watches we say dial, dial and dial (and hands). The automatic caliber 562 movement has been fully serviced. It has the serial number 22768097 and the case is made by C.B. Dimensions are as follows: Diameter 34,5, lug tip to lug tip 41 and thickness 11 mm. The date of manufacture is ca 1964/-65.
