The “T-12 Skin diver” was advertised in the US for $100 in a collective add for “PR” (particularly rugged) and “T12” (120m depth rating) watches around 1970. This watch is described as “There’s a model just for skin diving”. We can assure you that this 42mm, stainless steel, bracelet (Gay Freres “GF”) watch is useful for a lot of other uses too! The Tissot signed GF-bracelet with end links stamped 518 and lug width 22mm is dated first quarter of 1970. The serial number 12068554 on the caliber 784 2 automatic movement also dates the watch to ca 1970. The inside of the case back cover is stamped with the reference number 44518 and has the “Compressor” signature, usual Tissot markings with logo and company name plus “Acier Inoxydable”. It is in very good condition and runs very accurately for a vintage watch. Rarely seen with it’s original bracelet, and in such good condition, this Seastar Navigator is some vintage watch package!
