Founded in Bienne 1959 and merged with Henex in Tavannes 1972, this very near NOS Roventa diver dates from ca 1970. The automatic ETA 2772 MS, 25 jewel movement has not been serviced by us, but runs very well and is guaranteed for 12 months. The lovely black dial has yellow hour markers with all intact green lume lighting up from the center of each marker. The bezel is bidirectional, and the triangle zero point also has lume. The seconds hand is also yellow, and the original crystal has a nice magnifier (no bulb here) over the date window. Despite the depth rating of 20 atmospheres, the crown is not screw down. We often find automatic divers in the lower price range to have this. The theory being that the crown casket is less prone to wear compared with a manually wound watch. The “cushion” matted steel case is unmarked and measures 37 x 41,1 x 12,9 mm. The “Tropic” original 18 mm lug width rubber band is unsigned, but is numbered 7018 and has a stainless steel quality buckle.
