Description
Much sought after model
No lume, no date
32,6 mm minimalistic classic watch
Historically this was the cheapest Seamaster model back in 1966/-67 when this particular watch was new. However now, the most basic model is one of the costlier vintage Seamasters. It has the beautifully balanced layout with single pencil indexes applied around the perfect silvered dial, except with a double at 12, and no date window to disturb the time only function. This unpolished Seamaster is very near mint all over, with only a couple of discrete watchmakers numbers and one scratch on the back cover. The relatively long angled lugs underlines the mid sixties look. Finding, as we do here, the original crown and crystal is also a sign that the watch has had a careful owner, and that the watch probably has been left alone for many years before resurfacing in an international auction recently. It has not been serviced by us, but running well and therefore covered by our 12 month guarantee.
