Famous turtleback double security
DS-2 Certinas are fairly common vintage watches. The reason for us to invest in this specimen is simple: The beautiful depth in that dial! The hands and indexes are mint and the white inserts makes it a profoundly readable watch. The case has some wear, but appears unpolished by us. The original crown is good, and the full turtle case back covering a high quality 28 jewels automatic movement (caliber 25-651) is great. The dimensions of DS-2 is of “modern” size, being 38.5 x 43mm. Thickness is a hefty 13.9 mm. We date this Certina to ca 1970.
