As new (mint), very usable vintage
Beautiful dial
Prominent size and presence for 1973
Being one of the first quartz watches on the market, the Megaquartz was Omegas successor to the tuning fork “hummers”. The Omega caliber 1310 movement has a new battery and runs as can be expected very accurately. This gold plated (20 micron) example with its large case and the original Omega matching bracelet is really displaying a “gold feel”. According to the previous owner, the watch was gifted to an employee after 25 years of service. The accompanying box has a trade label from a watchmaker´s shop in Horten, Norway confirming this story. The dimensions are: width 39.1, case height 44.3 and thickness 12.5 mm. A vintage watch both fit for special occasions and daily use.
