A true Skipper grail for collectors

Our history with Heuer started in 1971. Being a first year student in Edinburgh at the time, AntikA owner Per T. Eitrem got an agreement with Pat Barnards company Chronosport in Bath, England. That company offered commission to agents that sold from their catalog and Per started selling! The object of project was first of all to be able to afford two Heuers in the catalogue for himself! (the automatic Autavia, the “Siffert” and second to buy his father a Heuer Yachting Timer, number 395 in the catalog in question). On his father´s passing, Per inherited the timer and still has it in his collection. After successfully selling watches to fellow students, different landlords and people met by chance, Per got hold of the 2 Heuers he wanted. And then he stopped dealing with wristwatches (until he restarted AntikA in 2014). Being a sailor himself, Per has always used and coveted yachting timers. This “big eye” Autaviashaped Skipper from the early seventies is one of the rarest and best looking vintage models, trebling as it is both a watch, a chronograph and a count down timer. The manually wound movement is a modified caliber Valjoux 7734 which runs like it should. We have not seen any reason to service it.
