The automatic Seamaster De Ville models are rarer and more popular than the manual versions. They were when new, and are more expensive now as a vintage watch. Although the small difference on the dial is often overlooked, namely the OMEGA lettering in applied gold instead of print. To collectors such things matter, and of course many prefer an automatic to a manually wound specimen. Movement wise, in this automatic we have arguably the best mechanical vintage caliber, 565. (564 is the Chronometer certified version typically found in the Constellation models from the period). This serial number 26316656 movement is fully serviced and guaranteed. The original Omega crystal is present, and the watch has very little wear on the 34,5 x 40 x 10.7 mm gold on steel case. A truly super vintage dress-/sportswatch from Omega. The watch will be repaired free of charge for a period of 24 months after purchase, should it stop or start to deviate from correct timekeeping more than a minute a day.
