Certinas made after the WWII up to the seventies have wonderful watch cases, dials and movements. Because they were (and still are) reasonably priced and very reliable watches, the vintage ones are often totally worn out. As with most of our selection of vintage watches, we treasure the near mint specimens from that era. The ZRC (France) signed, gold plated bracelet is near mint and of good quality also. The in-house workhorse manual movement caliber 25-661 runs very well, so we have seen no reason to service it. The dimensions are: diameter 35,1, length 40 and thickness 10,1 mm. The model reference series is 230, and the 53 prefix means caliber 25-661 and the following-21 stands for 14 carat gold capped steel case. The serial number 9169104 dates this Bristol 235 to ca 1072.
