Super condition gold watch
Faintly lined silvered dial
Applied gold indexes
Very elegant, no date, no lume – minimalistic, but prominent dial. The applied gold hour markers, the gold hands, and the slim, 14 carat gold monocoque case is incredibly pleasing to the eye. Two lugs have gold stamps. It has probably never been opened, and we feel that it should be left alone. The movement could probably benefit from a service, but runs very well for the purpose of being used occasionally. This is not “a daily beater”! The dimensions are: diameter 33,8, lug to lug 40,1 and thickness only 8,5 mm. The Certina reference numbers on the back are: 5209 134/650111.1. The numbers mean the following: 52 means manual wound movement caliber 25/66, the 09 means 14 carat yellow gold and 134 identifies the case reference (model number). The absence of a back name/company engraving is also in our opinion a plus. This vintage Certina dates from ca 1969.
