Smashing PVD covered case and expandable bracelet

Countdown automatic Lemania movement

The dimensions are impressive on this Autavia cased yachting, flyback chronograph. More than 42 mm across, 47,6 from lug to lug and thickness 15,7 adds to to the solid impression. The grey dial and bezel matches the grey PVD coating. With a modern eye, it all good very well be titan (that is until you lift it, the weight of 157 grammes certainly gives the stel away. The inside back cover refers to case producer MRP SA and the Swiss patent Brevet 503.305: Ratcheted unidirectional rotating bezel from 1971. This watch has seen some use, but the coating is well preserved both on the case and on the bracelet. The Lemania 1345 caliber movement is numbered 4227361. It appears to us to be completely untouched, and this watch runs very accurately. The countdown feature is activated by pressing down and holding down the chronograph button, thereby returning the orange sweep seconds hand to zero. This makes the five blue dots appear. The hand starts immediately you let go the pusher and your five minutes blue followed by five minutes red countdown to start the regatta begins. After the five red, the grey dots reappear and the chronograph hand just continues as a normal sweep seconds. A yacht timer is a tool watch, and therefore desirable both for sailors and collectors due to rarity and function.
