Description

Mint vintage Movado from early 1960s

Beautiful original condition with box

Time only, no date no lume “gold watch”

Movado as a Swiss watch brand was considered top class in the 1950s and 1960s. In Oslo Movado was promoted and sold by the most famous chronometer maker in Norway, Alf Lie. His shop also sold Patek Phillippe, and he rebranded some Movado watches with his own name on the dial. (The Movado ad is from 1956). The case is 40 micron gold plate, thereby keeping the price down, but the quality high. This watch has seen very little use, and there is only negligible  “bleeding” on the case. The crown is the original with logo, and the lovely box that comes with it is the original too. The brand new brown leather strap is fitted with a matching Moranello buckle. (Other strap options are available, please ask). The watch will be fully serviced and guaranteed before delivery. Dimensions are: Diameter 34.6, lug to lug 41.5 and thickness a slim 8.1 mm.
