Description
Rare Seamaster – no lume!
Not perfect, but a most attractive vintage watch
Reference 136.011 – 34,5 mm diameter case
The black inserts in the white gold applied hour markers, and the steel hands filled with black lines adds a true elegance to the silvered dial of this Seamaster 600. The silvered dial has some small imperfections, but these are hardly visible. Most Omegas from this period come with luminous material, and many “no date” versions measure only 32,5 mm. Our opinion is that the significance of “No lume” is that the dial will keep longer, as most lume tends to degrade as years go by. The “600” on the dial signifies that Omega had changed from the earlier manual movements to the new caliber 600-series, it does not mean depth clearance in feet or meters! By the way, as with all vintage watches we point out that “Waterproof” does not apply now. Although this particular Seamaster has passed the watchmaker´s pressure test for water resistance to 30 m; Do not risk exposing your vintage watch to water! As for the manual movement, here you find the slightly modified caliber 611, with serial number 22300385, dating it to ca 1966. The movement is fully serviced, and the crystal has been changed to Omega original, sporting the Omega logo which you can see with a loupe in the dead centre of the glass. The lug width is 18, and the lug tip to lug tip is 39,6, the thickness is 10,2 mm. If you prefer another brand new strap, we will exchange it for free. Just email us to ask for a photo of our selection of (black) straps.
