Black dial Omegas are in great demand. It is said that only one in ten Seamasters came with black dials. Unfortunately, many of these have detoriated badly over the years. Therefore, those with an intact dial like this one is shown great interest by collectors. This 1956 dial is in excellent shape. So is the rest of the watch: The case is lightly “oversized” in vintage terms, being 36 mm in diameter. It has a snap on, “Waterproof” marked only caseback. The minimalistic appearance with relatively slim indexes and hands makes a great impression. It has been fully serviced, and the caliber 284 manual moment has serial number 155700740. The lug width is 18, the length is 43.9 and the thickness 10.7 mm. We have equipped it with a brand new Condor leather strap.
