Description
A size of watch we rarely post, this exception is special in many ways. It is only 23 mm diameter and the stainless steel bracelet (signed “Keeper”) will fit a wrist not larger than 14,5 cm. It is by a maker known for relatively cheap watches, but this model has some qualities: The well used stainless steel case is monocoque, ie. it does not open from the back. (It follows the same principle as the Omega Seamaster De Ville models – Omega is by the way Tissot´s sister company). Advantages using the monocoque cases are: better water resistance and making it more difficult and thereby less tempting for amateurs to try opening the watch to access the movement. This small case rooms an automatic movement that drives a a seconds hand plus a date wheel! These three functions are often skipped in vintage watches of this category. Because we love the charming and well kept dial and hands we have fully serviced it. The movement is of caliber 718-1 and the case numbers are 37504/38504 – 3X. This Tissot dates to ca 1966.
