Diving watches from the midsixties in good condition are hard to come by, so we are pleased to offer this attractive Antima from ca 1965. The good size, pleasant black dial with large luminous hour markers, the original crystal with the cyclop, the lollipop seconds and all hands in great condition adds to the positive impression. The bezel is good and the case very well kept with sharp edges and no noticeable marks. On the back the optimistic text reads: “100% Waterproof tested 20 Atmospheres”. The crown is sturdy and original, but not screw down, so using this watch in deep water sounds a bit optimistic. When I bought a “Waterproof” Heuer in 1971, the message was: “If you want to dive, waterproof your watch at least 2 times a year at an authorized Heuer dealer”. Meaning that diving is not to be recommended! The 25 jewel AS 1748/49 movement has been checked by us, and it runs quite well, meaning that it is fully useable. Should you wish to use this vintage watch every day though, it should be fully serviced first. It has passed a 3 bar pressure test, which is good for a vintage! The case dimensions are 37,5 x 44,5 x 12 mm.
