As good as new, but with an unfortunate (tiny) crack in crystal at 3, this large, very attractive watch has an alarm. The 4H designation reflects the 4 hands on the dial. As with other Citizen and Seiko watches, the year and month of production can be found on the back (“808…” meaning August 1968). Here “Parawater” is another sign of age, in Japan this was alternatively used for the more usual “Waterproof”. After ca 1973 the term “Water resistant” became the standard, as watch-owners bitterly had experienced the “Waterproof”-terminology to be oversold by the watch industry during the previous 30 -40 years.
