Quite a surprise package: A seemingly run of the mill stainless steel dress watch is labelled 20ATU! The crown is not screw down, but the back confirms: tested 20ATU (= 200m (ca 600 ft water depth). Of course, we will not encourage any diving with any vintage divers watch, but the depth classification is interesting because it tells you a great deal of the quality of the watch. This Eiger is heavy! It keeps time very well and must have been taken good care of (it has NOT been serviced by us). The case is close to mint, and there are no obvious flaws to the dial. A conversation piece among vintage watch collectors that comes with an contemporary Eiger tag boasting the make´s quality. Case dimensions are: width 35,5, lug to lug 40 and thickness 12,5 mm. We date it to ca 1970.
