Quite perfect dial and hands, original crystal and crown (with the logo missing, a new correct crown is on order), and with a spotless, desirable automatic with a late serial number, this Omega vintage is smashing. The gold hands and Omega logo matches the gold applied indexes with black onyx inserts. All lume is perfect too. The movement has quick change date operated by pulling out the crown (“pumping”), a feature caliber 565 is known for. The serial number 30723683 dates this Omega to ca 1970. Case reference is 166.041, and it has the Compressor case symbol stamped on the inner caseback. “Waterproof” stamped om the caseback was still used in 1970, only to be more realistically referred to as “Water resistant” by a new common standard introduced ca 1973 (Helpful guide to use for a quick dating of watches produced before or after that date). The untouched by us, stainless steel case has marks, and measures 34,5 mm. Having a fully serviced movement inside (September 2020), it carries a 12 month warranty.
