Quite perfect dial and hands, signed original crystal and crown, and with a spotless, desirable automatic movement with a late serial number, this Omega vintage is smashing. The gold hands and Omega logo matches the gold applied indexes with black onyx inserts. All lume is perfect too. The movement has quick change date operated by pulling out the crown (“pumping”), a feature caliber 565 is known for. The serial number 30723683 dates this Omega to ca 1970. Case reference is 166.041, and it has the Compressor case symbol stamped on the inner caseback. “Waterproof” stamped om the caseback was still used in 1970, only to be more realistically referred to as “Water resistant” by a new common standard introduced ca 1973 (Helpful guide to use for a quick dating of watches produced before or after that date). The untouched by us, stainless steel case is sharp with marks. This automatic Omega Geneve measures 34,5 mm across, 40,7 from lug tip to lug tip and has a thickness of 11,3 mm.
